It was a hard-fought but ultimately convincing 7-wicket win for the Aussies, who lost a game early in the tournament to Sri Lanka but then played steadily and upset the heavily favoured Pakistan team, which had been stacked with former star players.![]()

Mark Cleary was the standout player, taking 5/22. Cleary also ended as the leading wicket-taker, with 19 at 9.21.![]()

Australia play Pakistan later today in the final
It's Finals Day in the IMC T20 Over-40s World Cup. ![]()

Yesterday's semis and playoffs saw wins for Pakistan over USA in one semi and Australia over South Africa in the other. Pakistan and Australia will play off in the final today, while USA and South Africa will meet for 3rd and 4th.![]()

Canada had a surprise win over Sri Lanka, who have faded dramatically in the back half of the tournament, while Rest of the Gulf continued their strong tournament with a win over Hong Kong. UAE beat the Rest of the World and West Indies had their fifth straight loss, going down to Zimbabwe.![]()

There were some interesting results in the last round of pool play at the IMC Over-40s T20 World Cup.![]()

Rest of the Gulf scored an enormous 255/4 (with Choudhry Muhammed 80 from 30 leading the way) and then dismissed Sri Lanka (who had beaten Australia earlier in the tournament) for 154 to win by over 100 runs.![]()

In another interesting result, Hong Kong beat West Indies by 6 wickets, with Moner Dar whacking 100* from 54 balls.![]()

All of the other games went to form, with wins to Australia, Pakistan, USA and South Africa.![]()

In the semi-finals, South Africa will play Australia and Pakistan will play USA, while the other teams will play off for the minor placings.![]()

Among the notable performances were 5/31 for Ruwan Premathilaka and 86 not out for Sunath Sampath, both for Sri Lanka against Zimbabwe. Abdul Razzaq scored 99 for Pakistan against West Indies.![]()
